Bacon Cheese Pull-Apart Bread

Advertisements

Bread, cheese and bacon. All together. And I’m not even kidding.

It’s not often I start a recipe with a warning, but I feel that this needs one: This Bacon Cheese Pull-Apart Bread is deliciously addictive!

Be ready to double the recipe — my family ate an entire loaf before I could manage to get any pictures taken. I make a lot of recipes but this is by far one of my family’s absolute favorites!

I’ve always loved pull-apart breads, and we’ve been making a sweet cinnamon version as long as I can remember. So, we decided to try and make a cheesy bacon version to serve as an appetizer or simple meal. Put it on a platter, throw in a green salad and you’ve got a great quick dinner.!

My family loves gathering around the table and chatting as they pull off cheesy slices to eat. And, because we use Pillsbury Simply Rustic French Bread, it’s easy to keep all the ingredients in the fridge ready any time you need a quick meal.

After all, what’s better than fresh baked bread loaded with cheese? Here’s the how-to:

Bacon Cheese Pull-Apart Bread

  • Bake up a loaf of Pillsbury Simply Rustic French Bread and let it cool.
  • Slice it lengthwise first, making sure not to go all the way to the bottom.
  • Then slice it cross-wise, again making sure you stop short of cutting it all the way through.
  • Then load it up with cheese. Use your fam faves here! I used Gruyere and cheddar.
  • Then add some bacon, green onion and you’re almost there.
  • Drizzle it with savory sauce. Mmmm!
  • Wrap it in foil and bake it until the cheese is all gooey and melty.
  • Unwrap and serve immediately. You might want to have another one ready to go pronto…

Adaptations

Feel free to change up this recipe and make it just how your family will love it. Switch up the cheeses or meats (how about some crumbled turkey sausage? Yum!), and use more or less of any of the ingredients.

More cheese = more gooey goodness. Less onions = more kid friendly. You get it! See what other creative combos you can come up with.
