I thought Silly Putty was the coolest thing when I was little and my friends and I used to play with it for hours! I bet you did too. It is really easy to make and cheap too. You only need 3 ingredients! (Four if you count the H2O). This is such a fun project for you and your kids to do together and perfect for any lazy indoor craft day.
It’s easy just to 5 minutes, the kids having fun, and is a great plan for rainy days.
You will see how the liquids together to form a solid! this love to children, educate and have fun .. anything else? I think not …
We will work
You will need:
- I bottle of Elmers Glue (118ml)
- 118 ml of water
- 1/2 teaspoon of Borax
- 1/4 cup hot water
- Food colouring
1. Set out your ingredients
2. Pour your glue into a bowl
3. Add the 118ml of water
4. Mix until completely combined
5. Add a few drops of your chosen food colouring
6. Mix until well combined
7. Add 1/4 cup of hot water to a separate container, add the 1/2 teaspoon of Borax & stir until combined
8. Pour the Borax solution into the mixture in the bowl
9. Mix
10. Watch the magic happen!
It really is fantastic to watch the mixture turn to Silly Putty before your very eyes!
