Cinnamon Danish Pastry Recipe
This is a recipe that normally would take a long time and hard work …. but we like the things easier right? .. less complicated more comfortable … then take a recipe and have simplified .. the result was very good, in fact I loved it!
It’s as simple as taking a puff pastry, brush with butter, sprinkle cinnamon and sugar … if you want you can make an Icing .. if you want to try .. Recipe here
- 2 sheets (one box) frozen puff pastry dough, defrosted
Filling : For each sheets
- 2/3 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
- Unfold the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface, and roll out to a rectangle of about 20×9 inches.
- With a brush spread the butter over the pastry and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon
- Roll the long sides of the pastry rectangle toward the center; where they meet in the center, dampen with water to secure. Using a sharp knife, cut into about 1/2-inch slices; place in the baking sheet, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 10 to 15 minutes.
Note: You can also use Hazelnut :
You need:
- 11 tablespoons chocolate hazelnut spread
- 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
- Unfold the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface, and roll out to a rectangle of about 20×9 inches. Spread the chocolate hazelnut spread over the pastry, then scatter hazelnuts over the top.
- Roll the long sides of the pastry rectangle toward the center; where they meet in the center, dampen with water to secure. Using a sharp knife, cut into about 1/2-inch slices; place in the baking sheet, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 10 to 15 minutes.
