Ingredients

  • 4 medium russet or Idaho potatoes 7 ounces each, washed and dried
  • Olive oil spray
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the potatoes: Wash and dry the potatoes thoroughly. Prick each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape during cooking.
  • Season the potatoes: Lightly spray the potatoes with olive oil. Sprinkle evenly with Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for 2-3 minutes.
  • Cook the potatoes: Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 35-40 minutes, turning them halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • Check for doneness: Insert a fork into one of the potatoes to ensure it is tender. If it slides in easily, the potatoes are done.
  • Serve: Remove the potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve with your favorite toppings, such as butter, sour cream, chives, or shredded cheese.
