- 1 deep-dish pie crust store-bought or homemade, 9-inch
- ½ cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons Kentucky bourbon optional
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
- ¾ cup chopped pecans toasted
- ½ cup chopped walnuts toasted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges. Set aside on a baking sheet.
In a large bowl, beat melted butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract and bourbon.
Whisk in the flour and salt until well combined.
Fold in chocolate chips, pecans, and walnuts until evenly distributed.
Pour the filling into the prepared crust and spread evenly. Cover the edges of the crust with foil to prevent over-browning.
Bake for 50–55 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly gooey and puffed.
💡 Tips:
-
🥃 For a non-alcoholic version, replace bourbon with 2 tsp vanilla extract.

🔥 Toast the nuts for 8 minutes at 350°F before adding – it enhances flavor.
-
🧁 Top each slice with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
